Just a heads-up: recognition for MoP reports was added. Any report with a start time before the MoP release date will not be eligible for ranking. This state is indicated on the report's Ranking Info page with a red warning text and a list of MoP spells found.

Existing reports are being recrawled as we speak.

We've updated the servers in preparation of Mists of Pandaria:

  • Class and spec detection have been updated for MoP.
  • As a consequence, Monks are now recognized.
  • MoP reports dated before 28aug (i.e. beta) are not eligible for ranking.
  • Expression Editor constants (found in the Documentation forum) have been updated with MoP power types.
We have plans to freeze the rankings by the time the MoP expansion is released. This is a work in progress.

Please report any issues in the Bug Reports forum!

With the release of patch 5.0 there have been several changes (talents, heroic spell IDs) which make life hard for us. Detection (both spec & difficulty) is often incorrect and therefore the rankings are no longer reliable for new reports. For this reason, we have retroactively frozen the rankings at 0:00 GMT, August 28th.

New ranking ladders will be created for MoP instances. See the frontpage post for more details.

I've just updated spec detection for MoP reports. Classes and specs should now be detected correctly. For mixed bear/cat druids, the detection has a heavy preference toward cat spec to keep the bear "tanking" rankings clear.

Haven't updated this topic in a while... Not sure what changed inbetween now and the last post.

Today, we fixed Light's Hammer damage not being attributed to the casting Paladin. This was caused by the fact that Light's Hammer summons an NPC called (wait for it...) Light's Hammer, but doesn't cause a summon event to be written to the log. The Light's Hammer NPC then proceeds to do damage using Arcing Light, but as it's not linked to the Paladin, the damage doesn't show for the player. This workaround tries to match Paladins casting Light's Hammer and orphan Light's Hammer NPCs.

Fixed an issue where the (Analyze) Damage Done tables would not show a player that only had damage done through a pet. An example of this is a paladin healer using Light's Hammer and no offensive abilities. These are now shown in the table.

The new difficulty detection framework is in place. So far, detection rules have been implemented for The Stone Guard and Feng the Accursed. New reports are detected using these rules, while old reports will be updated over the course of this week.

Next up: Gara'jal, then the rest.

To provide more value for our subscribers, we have added 100 subscriber-only ranking spots. This means we're now saving 300 rankings (up from 200) for each boss/difficulty/spec combination. We'll update the ranking pages to indicate that the #201-300 spots are subscriber-only on short term.
