HOW IS CORONA VIRUS AFFECTING THE VAPE INDUSTRY? IS CORONA VIRUS TO BLAME FOR THE SUDDEN SHORTAGE OF VAPE PRODUCTS?
CORONAVIRUS IS CREATING A GLOBAL PROBLEM IN THE VAPE INDUSTRY AS MANUFACTURERS OF VAPING PRODUCTS ARE NOT ABLE TO PRODUCE AND DELIVER VAPE HARDWARE.
There are currently more than 372,572 reported cases of Coronavirus, globally. And the number is growing. It is a scary time to be living through this pandemic. It continues to affect people and economies around the world.

One of the industries being most affected is the vape industry. The current shortage of vaping products in the U.S. is due to manufacturers' inability to produce and deliver vape hardware. Read on to learn about how the spread of the Coronavirus has resulted in a depleted vape supply.

COVID-19 HAS AFFECTED THE VAPING INDUSTRY BECAUSE MOST VAPE HARDWARE IS MADE IN CHINA.
THE VAPING INDUSTRY IN CHINA
Shenzhen, China is known as the vaping capital of the world. About 90 percent of vape hardware is created in Shenzhen.

The quarantine of Chinese citizens to avoid more COVID-19 infections halted its economy. The companies that manufacture vape hardware will fall behind in production.

This can only mean that China will not be able to produce enough vape hardware before it eventually runs out in the U.S. and in countries around the world. With almost no other means of production in any other country, the U.S. has been seeing their products deplete and the fear is that they will run out.

Vaping companies in China will likely be unable to begin producing their vape hardware and shipping it to the U.S. for a couple more months.

While the fear of investors has shaken the U.S. stock market and the actual COVID-19 pandemic has shut down vape production companies in China, the Chinese New Year celebration pushed delays even further. Chinese New Year fell on January 25th this year, as news of the Coronavirus outbreak was beginning to come out. The new year in China is always followed by a 15-day festival, many factories close for the two weeks while workers spend time with their families.

THE U.S. AND CHINA
Although the Coronavirus has been identified as the main culprit in the shortages seen in the manufacture of vape products worldwide, vape hardware producers have also struggled with rising tariffs due to the trade war between the United States and China.

THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION AND THE VAPING INDUSTRY
The trade war and Coronavirus has affected the manufacturing of vaping products. Vaping suffered more after the Trump administration's partial ban on flavored vape products. This occurred after increases in teenage use of vaping products.

After this criticism in the U.S. China began to ban e-cigarettes from being sold online, furthering the disruption in the vaping industry.

VAPING SAFETY IN THE AGE OF THE CORONAVIRUS
Many of the negative effects on the vaping industry have been a result of production delays caused by the closure of Chinese factories. After the spread of the Coronavirus, fear of products made in China has also negatively impacted the industry.

Concerns about the virus spreading from products made and shipped from China were raised when reports of COVID-19 spreading throughout China were first heard. Viruses can only live on surfaces for short periods of time and the likelihood of being infected in this way are very unlikely.

The Coronavirus can live 24 hours on cardboard boxes and two to three days on things like plastic and stainless steel. The amount of time a package takes traveling from China to the U.S. would most likely kill the virus.

Some Coronavirus safety tips are available on our website for vapers and the community at large. Some of the basic tips include continued hand washing and covering your mouth and nose to cough or sneeze.

VaporDNA assures customers that we will clean our warehouse multiple times throughout the day.

In terms of vape use, testers are not available because of regulations set forth in the industry. We also suggest no sharing of devices.

THE EFFECTS OF THE CORONAVIRUS ON THE VAPE INDUSTRY
It is still too early to tell what longterm effects this virus will have on the vape industry as a whole. What we do know is that production delays have and will continue to create shortages of products and delay the creation of new products.

We have a long road ahead of us in recovering this industry but we will be here for you every step of the way. Please contact us with any questions and concerns you may have and to learn more about the products we do offer!

Thanks for posting the results of interesting investigation! There were too many contradictions around vaping during pandemy, and many people felt simply scared of vaping. I never stopped using my oil cartridge vaporizer with dab carts and cbd oil, by the way.
