[SOLVED] Warmaster Blackhorn missing P1

As far as i have checked, the only remaining fight where someone could still willingly "cheat on the rankings" is blackhorn.
Why ? Because none of the P1 mobs are taken into account on the totals used for validity checks.
So, would it be possible to actually insert one (if not all) of the type of P1 mobs to the valitadion process ?

Twilight Elite Dreadblades are included in the validation thresholds.

I just did a check and found the following reports for Warmaster Blackhorn that were missing P1: I have flagged them all, but we need to change something in the validator to catch these automatically...

Well if they are and if it's functionnal, might it be that these "wrong" fights weren't detected in the latest recrawls ?

The validation procedures don't explicitly check which mobs had damage done to them. It basically works as follows: for a given encounter, it has a list of "interesting" mob IDs. Damage done from the raid to these mobs is summed into a "boss damage done" number. This number is then checked against a preset threshold that is dependent on the encounter "mode" (i.e. players/difficulty/hardmode combo).

If these fights validate, then either they have lots of damage to blackhorn to compensate the missing dreadblades -- could this happen due to canceling the "nerf" buff? Alternatively, duplication may be the cause of that. Or perhaps the validation thesholds have simply been nerfed too much with the incremental 5% nerfs as I guess Blackhorn was nerfed but the Dreadblades weren't.

Is this a big issue or a few isolated reports?

It's not a big issue.
I guess it's a few isolated reports, but it's hard to tell because it's difficult to browse around hundreds of log reports

What's bothering is that "simple abuse" (ie later log start) is enough to circumvent the validation process

I've updated the encounter definition to check that a Twilight Elite Dreadblade dies at least 3 times. Ranked reports are being re-exported as I write this. This should take roughly 7 hours.

Blackhorn fights that do not contain at least 3 Dreadblade deaths will not be considered a kill. As such, they will be labeled "Try #".

Ah, nice implementation, it's smart and flexible, indeed.

Well, this fix makes my job harder as there will be no warning for how these are failing, just a "kill" marked as a try now. It's worth it though to stop bad data ;)
