Heroic kills counting as Normal

Hello,

You might already be aware of the issue, but looking at the rankings : Mogu'shan Vault Heroic reports are currently counting as Normal mode.

To help with fight detection on Stone Guard HC, one or more of the following debuffs will be picked up by players as soon as the fight starts:

http://www.wowhead.com/spell=116301/

Which then in turn leads to this buff on all players:

These are only ever present on HC pulls.

Cool, thanks for the info! We'll be working on difficulty detection and ranking validation for the new zones over the weekend and during next week.

Some help for Feng as well:

On HC he gains a stack of Strength of Spirit every time he picks a weapon (which he does at 100%). This buff does not exist on normal mode.

Additionally the phase order (which is only fixed in normal) can be detected by the presence of the tank debuffs:

Lightning:

Shield:
http://www.wowhead.com/spell=131792

The presence of the shield phase or any phase other than lightning happening first means it's a HC parse (most HC tactics start with Arcane phase).

Everything listed here only happens on heroic. All of them happen at rather early stages of each fight making them a decent way of recognizing heroic modes.

The Spirit Kings Heroic:
The encounters first boss uses it at the first minute of the fight. spellId 117961 Impervious Shield event SPELL_CAST_START

Elegon:
This ability is applied to players who soak the damage of Total Annihilation: spellId 132222 Destabilizing Energies event SPELL_AURA_APPLIED
If the previous event is not applied to some people after Total Annihilation then this other event occurs: 127341 Catastrophic Anomaly event SPELL_DAMAGE this will most likely wipe the raid

Will of the Emperor:
Unit GUID: 60480 Titan Spark, this unit is only present on heroic, it spawns from every add that is killed throughout the fight.

PS2: Let me know if there is any way I can help improving heroic detection in the future ( for example I can supply heroic PTR logs, or live logs at early stages of content availability )

Once the fix is made will all past heroic fights that are currently listed as normal get changed to a heroic listing?
