XML / JSON Feed - Additional Data Request

Post by Pspsully » Sun Dec 25, 2011 12:19 pm

Hi Guys,

Took me a while to even find your xml/json API and the thread on it from 2009...

I got it up and running but I was hoping that maybe 1 thing could be added? Well, I would love individual player DPS/HPS but I know how much hassle that would be so this one is much simpler :D

The feed tells us how many boss kills for the Raid and how many bosses encountered (number of NPC IDs) however it doesn't tell us WHICH bosses were killed... In the bosses section of the feed, could we add something as simple as a 1 for boss killed and 0 for not killed?

Merry Christmas guys!!

Thanks,
Sully

Errm. Which feed is that you're talking about? :P

If you can provide a link to the API call I'd be happy to have a look.

Hey Maihem,

Thanks for the reply!!

I am currently using the xml API: http://www.worldoflogs.com/feeds/guilds ... ids/?t=xml

So below is the return for one of our Raids:

Code: Select all

<Raid bossCount="3" damageDone="804034554" damageTaken="191866818" date="1326826472902" dateString="2012-01-17 18:54:32 +0000" duration="12411861" healingDone="228129093" id="rt-s5zmn3gimvh2fe81" killCount="2" wipeCount="15">
<Participants>
<Participant name="Adzriel"/>
<Participant name="Arethusa"/>
<Participant name="Caerlin"/>
<Participant name="Ciphér"/>
<Participant name="Fortesque"/>
<Participant name="Kahan"/>
<Participant name="Minima"/>
<Participant name="Pspsully"/>
<Participant name="Schivana"/>
<Participant name="Timberwolf"/>
<Participant name="Whitemìst"/>
</Participants>
<Zones>
<Zone difficulty="N" id="5892" name="Dragon Soul" playerLimit="10" typeId="2"/>
</Zones>
<Bosses>
<Boss difficulty="N" id="56427"/>
<Boss difficulty="N" id="56173"/>
<Boss difficulty="N" id="53879"/>
</Bosses>
</Raid>
If we could change the bosses section so something like:

Code: Select all

<Boss difficulty="N" id="56427" killed="1"/>
<Boss difficulty="N" id="56173" killed="1"/>
<Boss difficulty="N" id="53879" killed="0"/>
Or something like that it would be awesome!

Thanks Again,
Sully

Sorry for the delay. Been working on nerf adjustments, tweaks and other non-WoL things.

That's a *really* old feed that doesn't even export the fight player limits. I think I'll see if I can whip up a new one like it with more complete fight info.

Stay tuned!

Hi Maihem,

Just wondering if you have an update on this?

Thanks again for looking at it :)

I am looking to get more information from these feeds as well, has there been any more work in this area?

It would be really nice to have the feed break down the last 10 days of raiding (which it is doing currently), then include each boss attempt, and each player's damage and healing for that attempt. This doesn't seem like too much information, but to get at this now you have to click through a few dropdown menus which is complicated/impossible on most mobile devices or go through a few pages of hyperlinks nested within the pages.

Would it be possible to get a feed for the guild's ranked players? Something like this page, but as a feed: http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/14695 ... s/players/

I've noticed that WoW-Heroes are getting this data somehow. Do they get a special feed from you or are they crawling HTML pages?

I would also love for this to be updated. At first I thought the bosses were sorted by killed or not but that does not seem to be the case. (not really sure how they are sorted right now.) It would also be great if this supported jsonp.
