You can distinguish Heroic and Normal for Festergut and Rotface by extra spells on the event like;

- Festergut = Mal. Goo casted by Professor Putricide.
- Rotface = Vile Gas casted by Professor Putricide
- Blood Prince Council = a new spell named as "Shadow Prison"
- Valithria = not sure
- Professor Putricide = new spell named as Unbound Plague happens
- Saurfang = new spell named as Scent of Blood happens
Valithria - Twisted Nightmares
Blood Queen - She gains a buff called "Presence of the Darkfallen"

As for marrowgar/Deathwhisper/Gunship, there aren't any new spells so will be abit tricky.. you can identify kills by Boss HP but wont work on wipes. An manual option of selecting "Heroic" in the log editor would be just as easy.
All spells that do damage have had their tooltips updated so they use a different spell ID. This is almost surely the best way to distinguish the different modes, because you could find it earlier in the logs than some of the new spells.

A few kill logs from ICC10 heroic modes to offer:

Lord Marrowgar 10H
Lady Deathwhisper 10H
Gunship Battle 10H
Deathbringer Saurfang 10H

Rotface 10H

Valithria Dreamwalker 10H
(something triggered this kill to be flagged as invalid)

All hard mode: Marrowgar, Deathwhisper, Gunship (doesn't show up as a boss in normal or hard mode), Saurfang, and a couple attempts at Festergut:

Thanks for the reports, we've updated the detection to split stuff into normal and heroic now in ICC. The reports already uploaded will be rescanned in the next few days, new reports should be indexed correctly immediately.

Please post any mode and player limit detection error.

A new report from last night.

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/jb1l96p3ln526q0d/

Rotface HM is recognised correctly, but indexed as both a Purtricide and a Rotface HM attempt. (Both on dashboard and the drop down menu). Can a Putrcide HM be recognised as one without Rotface/Festergut in it?
