problem uploading logs

Post by jaeru » Thu Sep 02, 2010 10:26 am

whenever I try to upload logs, I get this message:

my WoW folder is located in my D drive, I dunno whether that is a problem or not. everything else is fine and I have even reinstalled the client.

if anyone could help me out it'd be appreciated, thanks.

The error is telling you that it ran into a line that is more then 24 hours after the first line in the log. This usually happens if you run the combat log constantly or don't clean it up after each raid. To split the log up into parts that WoL can handle try opening up the WoL client -> Tools menu -> Split & Zip Logs. Select your (probably very large) WoWCombatLog.txt. This will create a folder called "archive" in the same folder as the log and split the log into sections for you. Each section will be in it's own zip file named according to the date and time of the first line in it. To upload these logs to WoL just extract the split up logs from the zips and upload them.
