The ranking details page contains way more information now, that should help with reducing the amount of false positives.

I've also updated the crawler to be way more careful and when in doubt, print lots of information. It's running at the moment, but it will take an hour to get the results back.

For some reason, the last few scans got stuck before doing all of ICC, so that explains the not ranked problem noticed by quite a few in the last two days. I'll be monitoring the progress to see what the problem is.

Pushed a new server build. It improves some master-pet detection stuff, I think (/wave @ Maihem, your code).

Also did a count on the db, we're now indexing 5.9M characters and 240k current reports, 800k were removed by the clean up script. Whoa, no wonder restoring a database backup for testing takes forever.

Are those 5.9M chars unique or do you count two 10-man logs from same players having 20 chars?

Guild id-character name pairs. We use it to identify "unique" characters for tracking participation in a raid and rankings.

Added instant ranking. For the uber-bbq-I-broke-200-records reports, it can take a while to process them all, but for others the delay isn't noticeable.

Good news everyone, rankings are updated instantly now! That basically means that we can change lots of stuff and update the data retroactively without fearing a mailbox full of ranking questions.

"Frost" mage bug already out, we're doing a few more talent fixes first before setting the crawler loose.

Boss fights are now cut off at the first line with the boss and when it dies, this fixes the trouble with trash + boss. It doesn't handle the case with multiple bosses at the moment, the code doesn't see the difference between real double boss fights and two bosses after each other really quick, so you still need to take a small 30s break between them.

ICC mode detection is on the way soon, but wasn't good enough to be published yet.

Server was smoking, disabled live ranking updates until we've finished repopulating the lists; the normal vs heroic split made updates take forever, that's not a good idea during the busiest day of the week.

There are still some inaccuracies in the mode detection, already have 3 bosses flagged for need more data. We'll get them all fixed in the next few days - just keep reporting them.


We know about:
Lord Marrowgar - kills or wipes without Bone Storm is flagged as heroic.
Festergut - wipes before the first Pungent Blight is flagged as heroic.
Lich King - some spell ids are wrong for the player limit detection @ 25H, defaults to player counting, usually correct.

Live rankings are enabled again.

Can't get rescan to go faster than 2 reports a second, so going through the 190k old ones can take some time, but it doesn't matter too much, it's only used for stats, rankings and the API.

Patched the server with some new tricks. The following spec detections have changed:

Druid/Cat: Spec detection redesigned. Common, combo point gaining skills have weight 1, finishers are worth 5.
Druid/Bear: Added Maul, Lacerate.
Mage/Frost: Added Deep Freeze
Rogue/Subtlety: Added Hemorrhage
Warlock/Destruction: Increased weights for Chaos Bolt, Conflagrage and Shadowfury

Added support for custom validators, used for Valithria Dreamwalker.
Changed rankinfo page to display custom validator result.
